About the event
We'll begin our walk at the site of San Francisco's largest Soapbark tree (Quillaja saponaria) at 736 Masonic Avenue. From there, we'll visit a variety of interesting trees and sidewalk gardens in the eastern part of the NoPa (North of the Panhandle) neighborhood, including the 500 block of Broderick Street, which won the annual Greener Block Award from Friends of the Urban Forest in 2014. Ellyn is a consulting arborist, garden coach, educator, and owner of Garden Guidance LLC. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, bring water (to stay hydrated) and sun protection.
